More than Lip service: Working creatively with BSL | Workshop

This practical, hands-on workshop is an opportunity for both hearing and deaf actors, directors, theatre producers, audiences and BSL interpreters to come together and explore what good access could look like. We will create a supportive, non-judgemental creative environment to learn together through practical exercises focused on collaboration, creativity, and communication, reflective discussion and a chance to think differently about the benefit of access aesthetics. As well as drawing on our wealth of regional knowledge, the workshop will feature ‘food for thought’ videos by national d/Deaf BSL consultants and actors, who will share their lived experiences of working in and watching both hearing led and deaf led theatre.
